AAB helps Microsoft to design and develop new global Hi-Po programme
During 2009 we have been helping Microsoft to develop a new development programme for some of their most senior global high potentials. The programme has been designed to bring together around 50 Microsoft leaders from around the world to Africa where they will work in teams to support a range of NGOs and businesses driving social value in Africa using a facilitated Action Learning approach.
AAB’s role has been to help design the programme, organize the curriculum, engage the participating partner organizations, manage the impact assessment and to support the delivery at various key phases. The work is an example of the customised and bespoke way in which we are able to work on a consultancy basis. The project leverages our knowledge of how to create impactful and aligned learning opportunities, how to work with partner organizations in the developing world and how to appropriately prepare people and organizations for experiences of this nature.
The programme demonstrates Microsoft’s commitment to keep investing in its talent and its corporate responsibility through the downturn. Participants will gain exposure and understanding of emerging markets and learn from the experience of organizations that have had to operate in challenging and turbulent environments on an ongoing basis.
The partner organizations involved, which include UN agencies and African-owned businesses, will be able to take forward the inputs of the Microsoft leaders to address important and pressing challenges that currently confront them.
