AAB’s work with IBM and Aravind eye hospital recognised by Strategic HR Review

AAB has been working with IBM since 2007 to offer a structured programme aimed at challenging and developing IBM’s top talent. In November 2009, the respected practitioner’s journal, Strategic HR Review featured AAB’s work with IBM and Aravind eye hospital as an example of best practice.

The article, which we’ve included below shows how the programmes we develop can build over time to become more than the sum of their parts and support longer-term objectives of the organizations we work with.

By challenging themselves in an unfamiliar environment and helping the partner organizations to develop, IBM participants build self awareness and self confidence to take on new challenges and thrive in them upon their return.

In addition participating executives enhance and develop their cultural understanding and build expertise about emerging markets which in turn assists IBM in its ability to function as a globally integrated enterprise.

The programme continues to form part of the IBM talent management agenda providing a flexible assignment model for executives
